THE NOSH

At IPSNA it is a firm belief that "you are what you eat," therefore our food and beverage program is essential to our success.  The department will follow the Kosher guidelines as these food restrictions are the most restrictive and are easily accommodating for all religious groups.  Included in the tuition, lunch at IPSNA will provide an organic, non-dairy, nut free hot meal every day.  The Summer Learning Packet will include a form for families to fill out their child’s food preferences.  All preferences will be accommodated by our in-house Executive Chef.  There will also be two snack options provided daily.  For students staying after 4:30pm, an evening snack option will also be available.  In our efforts to understand the working parent and to prevent waste, all meals not consumed during the day will be packaged and sealed made available to take home from our Grab and Go station in the Dining Room on a first come basis.  The dining menu will be published monthly and Grab and Go meals may be pre-ordered up until the day prior for pick-up after 3 pm.

All Students must wash their hands upon entering IPSNA and the Dining Room at one of several hand wash stations.  Food will be served family style.  Student’s will partake in 3 courses daily: Soup, Salad or Ceviche, Main Course (to include a protein, vegetable and light carb), and a Dessert option with alkaline water.  Students will engage in dining etiquette with the entire ISPNA Educational and Administrative staff while partaking in live or instrumental music.  Real dishware, glassware, silverware, and cloth napkins will be used.  Each grade level will participate in setting and clearing the tables per week with the exception of Friday’s when the staff will set and clear for the students.  Once signaling they are finished eating students will be encouraged to use the restroom, apply sunscreen, take medication, and brush their teeth before attending the social time block.
